Your guitar playing on the Motorcycle Cowboy album made by Haggard is the best I have ever heard, and I have been around a hell of a long time. Absolutely the best Haggard album Ive heard, and I have a bunch.

Hi Redd,
I went to see you play at the Continental Club in Austin on Sunday Nov 7th. You are a great guitar player, I was impressed. What a night it was, Eric Johnson showed up and jammed with you for an hour, it was great. I have pictures of you two playing, I can e-mail them to you if you like. Thanks. Jim Grenier

A friend of ours (whose dad knows you) told us you were in Austin now and since were hoping to release a CD out there soon, we would like you to contact us in reference to playing for a recording. You have all the info, so let us know. Best of luck to you and sooooo glad to see you are in Austin. You can bet well be coming to hear you. Millie and Ronnie

Hey Redd,
I had the pleasure of working with Wilf Warkentin for a couple of years in the Black Diamond Band (aka. diamondback) in the 90s and he spoke of you often.
I run a recording studio in BC called Lizard Mtn Music and love all types of music. Ive been playing since I was a kid, starting around 12 or so on the road. Just finished a 3-year stint on a cruise ship out of Galveston, Texas, and its too bad I didnt know you were in Austin, Id have looked you up.
Nevertheless, been talking to Wilf, hoping to put something together. You have a great website and I admire your career. I hope well meet one day.

Hey Redd
Just discovered your web site, and Im very impressed.
I just had to tell you, you and Roy Nichols, are without a doubt the two best guitar players, that ever walked on any stage, I love the way you play the melody, and still throw in the hot licks.
I have worked, and recorded many years with the King of Bluegrass music, JIMMY MARTIN.
I play mandolin, guitar, bass and some fiddle.
Did a lot of session work in Nashville in the 70s,and traveled many miles playing Bluegrass Music, but of course Im a big Merle Haggard,George Jones,Hank Williams Sr. Lefty Frizzell,Jimmy Rogers,Earnest Tubb,Bob Wills fan also.
Do you mind giving me your oppinion on the Fender Squire Telecaster guitar...?
I have one,and I want to learn to play your style, also what kind of strings do you use...?
Please email me if possible.
Good Luck,and Thanks So Much.
